Cathy is from Italy and is mainly responsible for the purchase of glass candle jars. In March 2023, Cathy found Sunny Glassware and needed to purchase a batch of glass candle jars. The appearance required external color spraying, internal electroplating corrosion and logo decals, and the processing requirements were relatively complex. According to the customer's request, Sunny Glassware sent the sample 2 weeks later and notified the customer to check it. A week later, Cathy said she was very satisfied with our candle jar sample, but she still had to submit it to the boss for confirmation before replying. However, there was no clear answer for the next few inquiries. It wasn't until a year later that the PI was emailed again to place an order directly, there must have been a reason. After several rounds of communication, we learned that Cathy was frankly told that she had been cheated by the original candle jar supplier.

 

Cathy has been working with a candle jar supplier for three years. These glass candle jars in 2023 is a new development project. She frankly said that she could not find any defects in the candle jar samples she received from Sunny Glassware, while the samples from the original candle jar supplier had the problem of uneven electroplating corrosion. The original candle jar supplier promised that the mass products could be improved. Cathy’s boss eventually placed the order to the original cooperative supplier because of trust in the already cooperative supplier. But what she didn't expect was that although the electroplating corrosion problem of the glass candle jars was solved, the decal adhesion problem appeared, and 20% of the products were defective. The original supplier explained that there may be a conflict between the sticker paper and the color spraying process. This candle jars supplier had never done a processing project with multiple processes on a glass candle jar before, which ultimately led to rework, that caused the time spent on multiple transportation, which delayed sales. The plan made Cathy miserable.

It needs to be taken into consideration that the spray color is under low-temperature, so only low-temperature decals can be applied, and adhesion problems must be avoided. How to avoid it? Then you should pay attention to keeping the temperature in the kiln longer when spraying colors to allow the colors to bake through; before doing electroplating, check whether the primer has been sprayed properly, or check whether the glass candle jars have been cleaned to avoid electroplating damage. Problems such as fogging, whitening, peeling, etc.

 

Most candle jar suppliers do not pay attention to some details in the processing during the sample making stage. Due to the small quantity of samples, the probability of problems is low.
